I can finally say, I survived SOBEWFF
Your girl finally got the opportunity to experience her first SOBEWFF! Thanks to my incredible boss, I had the opportunity to participate in Goya Foods’ Grand Tasting Village, and Bacardi’s Beach Carnival hosted by Andrew Zimmern.
It was such an overwhelming but great experience. There were so many great restaurants and alcohol vendors; all of my favs had the longest lines of life, so I wasn’t able to taste what they were showcasing, but I knew it was amazing.
What I learned:
-Pace yourself. Get some food in your system first and then make your way around the alcohol vendors (don’t get drunk too fast). Apparently, there were more alcohol than food this year… hmmm
-Attend the event an hour or two before it ends, the lines will be way shorter
-Wear tennis shoes instead of sandals or flats… Your feet will thank you
-The less you bring the better (bring the essentials like ID and credit cards). When the event is ending, vendors give out a bunch of goodies!
Overall, I recommend attending SOBE at least once, you won’t regret it and you will be able to say, ‘Been there, done that’.
